Mutual aid and community organising are fundamental for a community to thrive, and as Ontario’s housing crisis continues to intensify, this work is ever more urgent. Parkdale People’s Economy is a network of over 30 community-based organisations that collaborates to build decent work, shared wealth, and equitable development in Parkdale. For The Street Summit, we share out strategies for organising with place-based practices. These essential actions will inform this participatory roundtable workshop and reveal the future of street design centred on community care.
